Reflecting on an Incredible Year of Music and Milestones

Dear visitor to our website,

As we step into the new year, it’s with great joy and gratitude that we reflect on the remarkable musical journey that was ‘2023’. Time truly flies when you are having fun, and our adventure in harmony was nothing short of exhilarating.

Looking back to the highlights of 2021 with the Cgals’ Pop and Jazz Interkultur virtual competition victory, and the unforgettable 2022 Sing for Gold tour to Calella (Spain), these milestones paved the way for an equally thrilling 2023. The year was brimming with music, starting with a soul-stirring Easter concert, lending our voices to a church service, and culminating in a mesmerizing Christmas concert that left a lasting impression on all who attended.

One of the standout moments of the year was the privilege of hosting Dr. Thomas Kreiling, and his informative workshops with the Cgals. Those hours of singing under his guidance were nothing short of magical,  leaving us inspired and enriched. It was an honor to show him our part of the world, our beautiful Namibia, and to have such a great music friend for life!

A significant milestone for us was the introduction of new formal evening dresses for the Cgals – a symbol of growth and evolution.

We hope that the new members who joined us in 2023 enjoyed every note, feeling the warmth of our musical family.

As we eagerly embrace the possibilities that the new year holds, we remain committed to keeping Namibia’s name high through our music and participation in international competition and examinations.

Our responsibility as ambassadors to our Namibia and our dedication to singing for the community remains unwavering, and we invite you to look out for our posters detailing all the concerts scheduled throughout the year. Your support means the world to us, and we can’t wait to share more harmonious moments with you in the coming months.

If you would like to join the choir, feel free to book an audition and become part of the excitement and wonderful experiences through this ladies’ Chamber Choir.

Wishing all fellow Namibian musicians and audience members a melody-filled year ahead!

Warm regards,
Wilna Liebenberg
